Protein Bowls (Viral TikTok Recipe)

This viral TikTok protein bowl delivers 45+ grams of protein with an addictive combination of flavors like smoky taco beef, caramelized sweet potatoes, creamy cottage cheese, and a drizzle of hot honey that will have you prepping this bowl week after week.
If any food, fitness, or meal prep content crosses your TikTok feed, you’ve seen some variation of this viral protein bowl last year. Like the viral butter board and grinder pasta salad, we had to see what the fuss was about, then add our own flavorful spin!
I’ve adapted the viral protein bowl with thyme-roasted sweet potatoes, perfectly seasoned ground beef, creamy cottage cheese, and a topping of crunchy, nutrient-dense pepitas and hemp seeds, sliced avocado, and a drizzle of hot honey. It’s the kind of meal you’ll be excited to prep and eat a few days in a row (no flavor fatigue here). At home or on the go, this dish will satisfy your comfort food craving while keeping you full with over 45 grams of protein.
The protein bowl trend has exploded, with several creators pushing out wildly popular versions over the past year or two. As with most viral TikTok trends, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where it started, but many people credit Gracie Norton as the one who kicked it off back in 2024.
With high-protein ingredients, visual appeal, and the ability to batch-cook and meal-prep for quick meals all week, everyone from fitness influencers to recipe creators has given this bowl their own spin. My version features taco-seasoned ground beef, sweet potatoes, and cottage cheese with the most incredible fresh flavors for a crave-worthy, nourishing dish.
