Creamy Pesto Chicken

Tender and golden brown chicken breasts are smothered in an absolutely mouthwatering cream sauce that’s flavored with basil pesto and Parmesan cheese.
Plus, parts of it can be prepped ahead, leaving you with a meal you can get on the table really quickly!
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts trimmed of excess fat
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced or grated
- 1 1/3 cup reduced sodium chicken broth
- 1 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 3 – 4 Tbsp prepared basil pesto
- 1/4 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated is best

- pinch of red pepper flakes
- pinch of black pepper
- minced fresh basil
