Five Spice Pork Meatballs with Rice and Kimchi Mayo

If you want bold, delicious flavor without spending much time cooking, I have a recipe for you. I make these five-spice pork meatballs on busy weeknights—or when I just want flavor that packs a punch! I'll share my best tips to make sure they're tender inside with a delicate, golden crust.

This is one of those recipes you'll want to keep up your sleeve – and for good reason. First off, it's so easy. It's what I make when I don’t have time to think about dinner, let alone cook it. Second, it delivers big, bold flavor that totally satisfies. They're versatile: you can serve them up in many different meals. Plus, as a bonus, it's totally kid-approved. Because meatballs are fun – whether you're feeding little ones, or just big kids at heart!

This dish is so easy yet flavorful thanks to Chinese 5-spice. Easily bought from the spice section of the supermarket, it's perfectly balanced and tasty, so it does all the heavy lifting for you when it comes to flavor. It's warm, aromatic, and melds into the pork so deliciously!

Ingredients:
The Meatballs
  • 1 ½ lb ground pork
  • ½ cup fine breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup finely minced cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 large egg
