Chili Cheese Dogs

This chili cheese hot dog recipe takes your favorite dogs and buns and smothers them in zesty chili with loads of melty cheddar for a knock-it-out-of-the-park winner.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups homemade chili or canned chili or leftover chili
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 hot dog buns large bakery, unsliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • toppings as desired
