Fall is absolutely my favorite season for baking and I’ve been meaning to try out an updated apple cobbler recipe!
I haven’t tried out a cobbler in awhile, but the blueberry and peach ones are so delicious and a fall themed cobbler sounded perfect.

Apple Filling
- 8 cups apples 7-8 apples, peeled and sliced into 1/4” pieces (I used honey crisp)
- 1/4 cup maple sugar or coconut sugar
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice or cloves
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tablespoons arrowroot flour or tapioca
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Cobbler Topping
- 1/3 cup grass fed butter or ghee, melted
- 1/2 cup maple sugar or coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or preferred dairy free milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups blanched almond flour
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour or arrowroot
- 1 1/2 teaspoons aluminum free baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
