Strawberry Apple Pie

It’s pie season, people! This strawberry apple pie is a fun twist on a classic apple pie, and features a yummy oatmeal crumble topping. Even better? It features a store-bought crust, which significantly cuts down on the prep time.
I have no shortage of apple recipes! With so many apple orchards around us, apples are bountiful this time of year. I love coming up with delicious ways to bake with apples.
Today’s heavenly strawberry apple pie has similarly delicious flavors to this apple crisp and apple tart, but it’s baked in a store-bought crust and topped with an amazing oatmeal crumble. Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 5 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced into ¼ inch slices
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon ground clove
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 store-bought 9-inch pie crust
Crumble Topping
- ¾ cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
