My easy yogurt cake is very popular, so I decided it was time to make a chocolate version and this Chocolate Yogurt Cake is irresistible! It’s incredibly easy to make, perfectly chocolatey, and a dream for any chocolate lover.

Ingredients:
For the cake
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup avocado oil, can use vegetable or canola oil
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
For the chocolate frosting
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder, Dutch-process or regular
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- For serving: fresh berries, optional
