Breakfast Rice Porridge Recipe – A quick and easy way to transform leftover rice into a delicious breakfast with your favorite toppings. Don’t have leftover rice, you can make this porridge from scratch too.
There are lots of variations of this recipe across the globe but I like to keep it simple here. This breakfast rice porridge is nothing but leftover rice cooked in milk, flavored with cinnamon or cardamom, sweetened with dates and maple syrup and topped with fruit fresh fruits and nuts.
Sounds delicious and easy isn’t it? Ofcourse if you don’t have leftover rice, you can just make this rice porridge from scratch too.

- 1 cup cooked rice
- 11/4 cup any milk / alternate milk
- 5 mejdool dates, pitted and chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
