Detox Water
This detox water definitely packs a delicious punch flavor wise, helps you up your daily water intake and this recipe is no slouch when it comes to giving your taste buds a run for their money. Packed with oranges, lemons and cucumber, it’s a delicious drink any time of year. I don’t really believe that drinking lemon, cucumber and orange flavored water is going to actually kick off any kind of true detox in your body but if drinking it does help increase your water intake then it’s definitely not a terrible thing – and water sure does your body good! Drinking more water is one of the things a lot of people could use some help with, myself included, so this recipe seemed like a good idea to get up on the blog. Consider it a contribution to your health from yours truly.
I wouldn’t push the Detox water past probably 3-4 days in the refrigerator. The longer you leave it in the fridge, the more the fruit and cucumber will be infused into the water and, with the cucumber, it could start to get a bit slimy after 3 days or so. Ideally, since it’s pretty easy to make, I’d recommend just making it in the morning and making it your goal to finish it before the end the evening. This is a great way to boost your water intake which, I’ll admit, is something I for sure need to do and it guarantees you a nice refreshing drink throughout the day.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices lemon
- 4 slices orange
- 4-5 cucumber ribbons
- 8-10 cups water
