Ingredients:
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup or 1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 150 grams (3/4 cup) caster sugar or granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 175 grams (1 and 1/4 cups) plain flour or all purpose flour
  • 75 grams (3/4 cup) almond meal or ground almonds
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) full fat or whole milk
  • 250 grams (1 and 1/2 cups or 2 medium-sized) pears, peeled and chopped into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cinnamon sugar topping
  • 15 grams (1 tablespoon) unsalted butter, melted
  • 15 grams (1 tablespoon) caster sugar or granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
