Pear Butter

Sweetened with honey and warm spice, this homemade pear butter is a fall staple you’ll want to put on everything! It’s great for canning and storing to enjoy with all of your favorite baked goods year-round.

Fruit butters, jams, and jellies are some of my favorite things to make because of how incredibly delicious they turn out! There’s nothing you can buy from the store that compares. Making fruit butter from scratch just tastes better and it’s free of artificial flavors and preservatives! Try this strawberry jam, peach jam, or mango chutney next for some fresh, fruity goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs. ripe pears peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
