Ingredients:
- 1 cup split Black gram dal / split urad dal
- ½ cup Chana dal
- 2 tbsp Ghee or oil.
- 1 tbsp. Cumin seeds
- 1 Dry bay leaves
- 3 Garlic cloves/ chopped.
- 1 Medium onion/ finely chopped
- 1 tsp Fresh chopped ginger
- 2 tbsp Chopped cilantro (garnish)
- 2 tsp Red chili powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 medium Tomatoes/ finely chopped - or 2 tbsp tomato paste.
- 1 tbsp. Dried fenugreek leaves /Kasoori methi -
- 2 tsp Cumin/coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 cups Water
