Homemade Steak Pizza

Whether you whip it up for dinner or as an appetizer, this Homemade Steak Pizza will make your taste buds dance! With juicy steak, whipped goat cheese, peppery arugula, and a nice mix of veggies, it’s full of big flavors.

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that I am not a pizza purist. When I’m making pizza at home, you can bet I’m going to be experimenting with different flavors and toppings rather than sticking with the same-old, same-old. This homemade steak pizza follows in the footsteps of my over pecipes, combining my favorite homemade crust with some non-traditional toppings to create something totally unique. Basically, this pizza is heaven in a bite, if heaven could be compacted into a bite.

Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup roasted red pepper, julienned
  • 5 oz. filet mignon, cooked then thinly sliced
  • 1/2 sweet onion, sliced
  • 3 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh arugula
  • optional: balsamic vinegar for drizzle, grated parmesan or red pepper flakes

Homemade Pizza Dough
  • 3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
  • 1 envelope active dry yeast
  • 1 cup of All-Purpose flour
  • 1 cup of Whole Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. of sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. of salt
  • 3 T. of Olive Oil

Whipped Goat Cheese

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
