Slow Cooker Apple Pear Crisp

The easiest fuss-free apple pear crisp made right in your crockpot with a sweet crispy topping that is TO DIE FOR!!!

I figured we needed a break from all the soups.

Yes, it’s freezing cold. And yes we need all the soups and stews we can get our hands on.
But, more importantly, we need dessert. But not just any dessert.
We still need a warm and cozy dessert.

One that requires no babysitting or fuss. One that we can just whip up into a slow cooker and walk away from.

And that’s exactly what we have here.
15 minutes prep time with just 3 things.
Your filling, Your topping. And vanilla ice cream for serving.

The most difficult thing about this is choosing which ice cream flavor to go with your apple crisp.
I recommend a classic vanilla but you can’t go wrong with any other choice.

Ingredients:
  • 4 apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 3 Bosc pears, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

For the topping
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup old fashioned oats
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes

Prep Time:
15 minutes
Cook Time:
240 minutes
Total Time:
255 minutes
