Double Chocolate Muffins

Boasting a rich chocolate flavour thanks to oodles of cocoa powder and buttermilk for tenderness, they’re never dry – and always hit the spot.

If you need a chocolate fix or want a portable treat for the lunchbox, these Double Chocolate Muffins are your answer.

Ingredients:
  • 280 grams (2 cups) plain flour or all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 60 grams (3/4 cup) cocoa powder, sifted
  • 90 grams (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 100 grams (1/2 cup) caster sugar or granulated sugar
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup / 1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 240 ml (1 cup) buttermilk
  • 150 grams (1 cup) chocolate chips
