Toffee Almond Pie

- 1 9-inch pie crust from scratch or a refrigerated pack of two
- 3 large eggs
- ⅓ cup (67g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (237ml) light corn syrup
- ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter , melted
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons (5g) cornstarch
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 6 ounces sliced almonds (about 1 2/3 cups)
