Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are quick, deliciously rich, soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate.

These bars are so much faster than cookies to make yet are just as delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted & slightly cooled
  • 1 cup soft light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup optional, but recommended
  • 2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/4 cup chocolate chips (milk, white, semi-sweet, or dark -- whatever you prefer)

Optional: Maldon sea salt
