Cowboy Butter Garlic Bread

If you are looking for a way to amp up the flavor of classic garlic bread, look no further than this Cowboy Butter Garlic Bread! Each half of the loaf is coated in my flavorful compound butter, a blend of herbs and spices with a subtle kick of cayenne pepper. Then, mozzarella and parmesan cheese top the bread, creating a gooey, golden-brown crust when baked or cooked in an air fryer.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cowboy butter, softened, divided
  • 1 Italian loaf, cut in half horizontally
  • 2 cups (226 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
  • ½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, shredded, divided
  • salt, to taste
  • parsley, for garnish

Cowboy butter

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon coarse Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme,
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
