½ cup caramelized onions (approximately ½ linked recipe)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (such as thyme, parsley, rosemary, tarragon, and basil)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon cool water

extra virgin olive oil , optional (for drizzling)

kosher and/or sea salt and coarsely-ground black pepper
